The Harpyaia

The composition of two female mythological spirits exhaling a series of leaves, reflects the decay in nature, as seen in Autumn. Inspiration for this work was found in the mythological tale of the Harpyaia, winged figures linked to the destructive nature of wind/storm winds; and often associated with death, fate and the execution of divine ordeals on the human race.
