Through intricate layering, Nature’s Lens plays with ideas of both the natural world and human experience.
Encouraging a slower, more observant way of seeing – one that uncovers the delicate balance between what is visible and what lies beneath the surface. This series are a play with the tension between strength and fragility; while drawing inspiration from nature’s layers, time in gardens, and observations of western Victorian (endemic and introduced) flora.
Artworks are all hand-shaped cardboard, that are painted in a variety of mediums. Then stitched into with hand and/or machine stitching.
Selected works have featured in group exhibitions for Kyneton Ridge Artspace in 2024, then Craft Lab 25 and Linden New Art in 2025.
